3:55 PM
as alumni.
11.56pm
today. i don't know.
hahah lost to NTU and CJC.
marginally.
CJC lost by universal point.
NTU lost cause dusk came
just when we were gaining momentum.
but then the upside was that
we somehow by some stroke of luck
managed to win SP.
the same team which narrowly
lost to champions AC by universal point
so yea that's a great morale booster.
CJC match was a nightmare la.
when i didn't get the disc
i was doing like great.
making first cuts,
and when the disc comes,
I FUMBLE.
once, twice, thrice.
and then i gave up counting.
it got so bad,
it was embarrasing.
here i was on the pitch,
fumbling shots letting the team down,
while waiting at the sidelines
were better players who'd make a difference.
yea lost marginally.
to this crack CJC team
which had like 80% alumni.
including nigel (ah boy) and mr wong.
so yea whatever mannnnn.
then SP which was totally rubbish.
we were so lucky the sidelines just
sat there and like wtf everytime.
its like damn lucky.
i must emphasise again.
we were really damn damn lucky.
like this time they fast break.
then they were right outside their scoring zone,
and there were 3 ppl there unmarked.
one with the disc,
one camping in the endzone,
one girl running in with the marker totally lost.
and then the handler passed to the camper
and the disc hit the girl running in.
TURNOVER. WOW.
yup so the whole match played out like that,
did better didn't do stupid stuff this time.
but yea SP being a speed team,
i got burned pretty badly at the end.
first point still can match up.
second point still can but a bit tired.
third consecutive point i was dead.
totally chasing the speed demon's shadows.
nbnbccb must go running again.
stamina sucks.
somehow after the first half hour or so
we found ourselves 4-1 up.
and we were like super surprised.
cause we totally expected to get whacked by SP.
then yea we lost focus,
and they rattled off 4 quick points,
and we found ourselves 5-4 down.
then bucked up, got the equaliser,
got the winner.
damn bloody happy.
and lucky.
but yea we won and that's what matters.
at least from a welfare point of view.
we win, morale goes up, we happy.
NTU match was by far the best for j3s.
played well, we scored all points for our side.
lost 4-3 but we just scored 2 points
and were having really good flow and momentum
but time wasn't on our side,
the sun set and it was time to go home.
last point was esp fun la.
playing handler with yuzheng and lily.
swinging was really too easy.
cause i guess we 3 were mobile players
so yea no position 1 2 3 just
roam around find space get the disc
dump swing shoot up anything.
yup and cause we were swinging like nobody's business
the markers all got disorientated also.
so yea easy loh.
total stats of the day:
2 scores 0 assists 1 D.
but even though we lost 2 matches,
i thought the aspect where we really shone
was, like marcus said, team spirit.
i doubt any other team
would still play with a smile,
give encouragements and sideline help,
even when we're like down by 2 points.
(i think that's the worst we were down by)
probably the closest team to us
in terms of team spirit was NTU.
that's probably why we enjoyed the match so much.
both sides playing just because we love the game.
because we play for the team.
not so much cause we wanna win.
but on a whole,
from a frisbee point of view,
the j2s have definitely improved,
the j3s suck shit.
haven't been playing properly
and together with the rest of the team.
thank god for thursday's ivp training.
we have up till saturday to improve.
else we totally die la.
because cider is the elixir of life
