yay happy day today :D
band concert today and being seniors,
we were naturally obliged to turn up.
met up with sean and weely and rujun and cheryl
in the afternoon.
designated time to meet was 12nn.
set by me la, the time i/c.
as usual, all were late
yea ended up me weely sean played cards at left wing
while waiting for the rest to arrive
which led to sean wanting to do pull ups for forfeits
which led to his great idea of a pull up challenge -.-
weely did 6, i did 24, sean the stupid clerk did 32.
but it was a stupid game la cause after that
sean kept complaining his arm aching like hell
all the way throughout lunch.
lunched at coro (no coro auntie!)
then went back to audi
to crash their run through.
and play cards la.
but primarily for the aircon.
yea played poker cards, munchkins and bang.
all provided by sean the company i/c.
then after jc finished their run through,
high school went on stage, so we left the audi.
went out then rujun started
kicking his slippers about,
so uhh i went to run away with his slipper
then yeaaaa boys being boys
we played around a bit la.
long story short he destroyed my left slipper
so i uhh forced him to change slippers with me.
while he went around barefooted.
kinda bad la but aiyah.
ITS HIS FAULT AHAHAHA.
yeaaa then since rujun immobile liao
we ended up at left wing (again)
playing cards (again!)
and in typical hcband 07/08 fashion,
criteria #1: NOISE
(made possible since meijun come liao)
cause wanted to chase away the horrible ppl
mugging on our left and right.
like i mean, eoy liao,
j1s ended promos j2s left mcq to mug only.
mug what sai?!
so yea. general consensus was to just
chase them all away.
so we ended up playing slapjack,
heart attack and the likes.
wanted to play goldfish,
but it was like a bit too quiet la,
so nahhhh.
ya played till abt 6plus
till rujun owed us 36 pullups.
then junjie the late i/c came.
freaking 6 hours late hahaha.
and sheng heng the get bullied i/c also came.
plus cindy chung yan and andrea who came at like 5plus,
(who brought nic tang's slippers
so yay rujun can walk liao!)
so yea went for dinner at nyny.
at the old shell place there (:
met up with weiguo the organising i/c over there.
yup so total 13 ppl haha.
more or less the clique liao la.
ya at nyny rujun only got like 50cents in his wallet.
so bo bian must do the giant yankee burger challenge
else got nothing else he can buy liao.
yea so that was the main highlight of the meal la.
eating, and watching rujun eat desperately.
and also got help him eat a bit la,
really very xin ku to see him struggle to eat.
if you know rujun its really quite hard
to imagine him struggling to finish food of ANY kind.

then yea as a result we were late for the concert.
and coincidentally we missed the first half.
and even more surprising was that
it was the high school's performance! D:
we really didn't know that we started dinner at 7.22pm.
when high school started at 7.30pm.
really. heehehehee. :D
anw yea rujun finally finished like an hour later.
i really don't know whether to be proud of him
or utterly disgusted of him la.
i mean, its like 50-50 la hahahah.
its so piggish, but yet i'm half in awe. D:
its really quite an achievement what.
yea anw we just managed to get back in time
after missing the first song
of the second half hahaha.
as usual, walked in through the front door,
and disturbed the entire right side
of the audi in the process hahaha.
audi was surprisingly full,
so we only managed to get seats at the back.
still. we managed a GO SEAN, and GO WEIGUO,
and a MR LENG WE LOVE YOU(R HAIR!)
and then our duty as seniors were done. (:
music was okay la i guess.
orient express sounded quite promising heh
from whatever i managed to hear la.
yea can't rmb much else
other than the guy emcee
who kept pronouncing xi shui chang liu wrongly
(shi shui chang liu... -.-)
even i know its wrong can.
aye worse still, its a flautist.
forgot his name till sean reminded me.
elliot, the half australian.
no wonder chinese worse than me la.
gimmicks was uhhh. okayyy la,
borderlining on mediocre i thought.
maybe it'd be nice for ppl watching first time la.
but having started the gimmicks when we were sec 4,
where the creative (and crappy)
juices of ernest (and sean)
made gimmicks like a total joke for 3 years,
this one was a bit drab i thought.
only new thing was the string bass spinning around.
so said weely la, i wasn't really paying much attention
at that point in time alrdy haha.
but then again, we never had a string bass,
so not our fault :D
yea then after concert ended
there was this period of silence.
like no one bothered
to ask for encore and stuff
initially quite funny la
we over there laughing like siao.
then the lights came on and we were like
what, really no encore?!
then as seniors as usual
we felt compelled to do our duty
and start something,
but by then it was too late liao.
thankfully they later told us
they never prepare encore piece la
else really v sad prepare liao no one call.
yup so ended really really quickly
then went down to RUA to meet the juniors.
sort of like a meet-the-people session.
ya realised that. i dunno.
our batch the ppl almost all came la.
total we had like 20+ ppl around for this concert can.
like more than 2/3 of our batch.
5/6 of flutes (all except yishan)
2/4 of clarinets (weely vanessa)
2/6 saxas (ernest junjie)
2/4 horns (sean rujun)
2/3 euphos (no kheexuan)
4/6 percs (no krystal and mel)
all trombones.
okay total 20ppl.
which isn't that bad really.
considering we've mostly been separated
for more than a year liao
i mean, collectively la, not the small cliques.
music really brings people together i guess.
yea then since so many of us were here.

and then go play and celebrate.
no idea what we're celebrating,

yea then abt 12mn went home la.
must catch last bus la haha
no money for cab zzz.
sigh its 3.15am.
tmr got winter league in the afternoon.
back to back games some more.
need to reach there by 1pm.
how to wake up in time..
on the up side, looks like the league comm
heard my grumblings and whinings
and somehow yiding got transferred to my team.

lol at the timing.
today met up with the band boys
junjie ernest me sheng heng weely sean weiguo.
haha cause the girls all mugging for exams.
somehow ns seems like a holiday compared to uni life la.
weirdddd.
anyway went to eat at food republic suntec there.
and talked and talked and talked for like 4 hours i think.
haha lots of ns rubbish that we can't usually talk
whenever the girls are around cause can't exclude them.
after sit until backside pain liao
went to walk and talk around suntec.
somehow ended up at donut factory there.
so ate donuts. and talked some more haha.
dunno somehow today got quite a bit of stuff to talk abt leh.
yeaa then sean had to leave first
then we went to have dinner proper.
haha like the whole day just eating and eating :D
ate at aston's there.
ate, and planned christmas outing. sort of la.
some sort of rough idea.
and the invitation list. (:
yay hahaha i love christmas! :D
nothing much la really nowadays.
band concert tmr, probably boycott the high school side
just go for college's after the intermission.
winter league starts on sunday.
and back to camp on monday.

tired.
9.56pm
this week was tiring.
not to mention the next batch of AI scts
coming in 2 weeks from now.
sunday was ADF live firing 30mm
finished at 2am.
monday had to take 464SAR reservist unit.
taking old men who can't rmb nuts isn't funny -.-
i can't bear to fail them either,
seeing as its their last reservist cycle anw.
finished at 10pm.
wednesday was preperation for 464SAR live firing
supposed to supervise them while they do boresighting
but then again, they're reservist ppl.
who really cares abt ns once you ORD?
they came 2.5 hours late + they knew nuts,
so in the end we did it all for them.
plus we had to go supervise them
to set butt (targets for live firing) also.
a.k.a we all went to set butt while they supervise us la.
ended relatively early at 5plus.
thursday had live firing.
woke up relatively late (for live firing standards) at 5plus.
veh safety for SMG was relatively easy
plus had only 20plus firers, so wasn't that bad.
night firing was h-o-r-r-o-r.
everything that could've gone wrong went wrong.
sigh. ended at 12plus.
friday was supposed to be recovery day.
but then had to prep for monday
4 star malaysian general visiting gedong.
whatever happened to the no-malays-in-sungei-gedong rule?!
anyway we had to go pretend that we really had working tanks
in very good condition, and is really really clean.
had to go through OC vetting at 1130
then CO vetting at 1400,
then CAO vetting at 1600.
CAO came an hour late.
of all ppl, the chief armour officer. late.
talk abt discipline and setting a good example.
worse still, the 4 star general
postponed his visit to tuesday.
sigh. ended at 5.50pm.
rushed to catch the 6.15 shuttle bus out.
and finally, the week is over.

next week's a breather though.
monday nothing much on (as of today la)
tuesday the general's visit in the morning,
after he's done we can book out.
wednesday and thursday OC force us to take off.
friday is ACTC cohesion, so half day also.
and then the week after next.
AISL for 2 months.
190 new trainees.
23 nov to 18 dec polaris,
28 dec to 22 jan orion.
30th 31st AISL live firing.
how to teach when i don't even know my stuff properly.

polaris platoon 5 section 3 [FULL]
(like they always say when i download movies haha)
went with my section to ubin today
in place of the (yet again) postponed msia trip.
met up at 9 at tampines.
took bus 10 from my house to tampines (~$2)
then 29-ed down to changi jetty there (~$1.50)
and then another boat trip to ubin. ($2.50)
transport fees are killing me ):
oh btw anyone wanna AWOL to ubin? :D
yea finally reached at abt 10plus am.
supposed to be a biking trip
so uhh we got bikes la.
$7 for the whole day,
not too bad la, though we were looking
for this $2/day shop bryan found on the net.
yeaaa anw just cycled loh.
bryan and elvis wanna go take photo at quarry there
cause they say v nice so must camwhore there.
so like okayyyy
and this led to our 3 hour odd nightmare
trying to find the elusive best-phototaking-spot spot
all round some random quarry D:
taken at ground level,
but then again they weren't satisfied
so yeaa we had to do some hiking and bashing
up the damn hill to get to that lousy top
of the quarry haiii.
hahah i rmb this spot
we came here during obs when i was sec 3 i think.
they said it was the highest point of the island
haha any higher and it'd be unsafe for us.
but then again.
we're in the army
we've been through worse
so wth haha we went up further.
another spot further up,
but being ns men,
white tape = no go.
so higher up we went (:

and on
and on
and on
until we finally reached.
okayyy la haha the view wasn't too bad,
but then again its really really really high.
and steep also D:
something just short of a cliff.
look down balls really will shrink that kind.
yea haha and my typical

then bryan suddenly went like

and then everyone just started pushing around
and doing random and stupid stuff.
ya okay so bryang and elvis happy liao,
then we went all the way down again
for our much needed break.
at some random small shop
specially decorated to attract attention. -.-
very lame, but whatever,
quite hip for a 60plus y/o man la i guess..
yup after our long long long break
(no thanks to the giant fan that man put in his shop)
cycled to like the legendary chek jawa
so widely promoted by ms yap my geog teacher in sec 2.
haha actually we planned to go at low tide one
but after our morning exertions
of course we late la.
and we reached at like super high tide can.
hahah can't see nuts at all.
but still,
super super tiring can
the road there is like
one long uphill
then another long down hill.
uphill super sian la,
muscles burning like crazy hahah
we all too slack liao la after the zhuo bo OM course.
then downhill also sian
cause the more we go downhill
the more we know we have to cycled up
later on the way back. D:
oh but more excitingly
after we went to chek jawa
the coastal boardwalk there
can see bmtc at tekong! :D
hahha yay lousy juniors
say hi to your prison for 3 months next year! :D:D:D
of course walk in the super hot sun
must take a break la.
thank god for the shelter built in the middle of nowhere
(: oh and break = more camwhore for elvis and bryan la.

then ya by that time zhao long reached ubin liao
after his church dunno what camp meeting
so yea cycled back to meet him
then had a very very late lunch D:

for seafood, $20 per person is quite cheapo liao

and that's more than $10 on transport today.
