yay happy day today :D
band concert today and being seniors,
we were naturally obliged to turn up.
met up with sean and weely and rujun and cheryl
in the afternoon.
designated time to meet was 12nn.
set by me la, the time i/c.
as usual, all were late
yea ended up me weely sean played cards at left wing
while waiting for the rest to arrive
which led to sean wanting to do pull ups for forfeits
which led to his great idea of a pull up challenge -.-
weely did 6, i did 24, sean the stupid clerk did 32.
but it was a stupid game la cause after that
sean kept complaining his arm aching like hell
all the way throughout lunch.
lunched at coro (no coro auntie!)
then went back to audi
to crash their run through.
and play cards la.
but primarily for the aircon.
yea played poker cards, munchkins and bang.
all provided by sean the company i/c.
then after jc finished their run through,
high school went on stage, so we left the audi.
went out then rujun started
kicking his slippers about,
so uhh i went to run away with his slipper
then yeaaaa boys being boys
we played around a bit la.
long story short he destroyed my left slipper
so i uhh forced him to change slippers with me.
while he went around barefooted.
kinda bad la but aiyah.
ITS HIS FAULT AHAHAHA.
yeaaa then since rujun immobile liao
we ended up at left wing (again)
playing cards (again!)
and in typical hcband 07/08 fashion,
criteria #1: NOISE
(made possible since meijun come liao)
cause wanted to chase away the horrible ppl
mugging on our left and right.
like i mean, eoy liao,
j1s ended promos j2s left mcq to mug only.
mug what sai?!
so yea. general consensus was to just
chase them all away.
so we ended up playing slapjack,
heart attack and the likes.
wanted to play goldfish,
but it was like a bit too quiet la,
so nahhhh.
ya played till abt 6plus
till rujun owed us 36 pullups.
then junjie the late i/c came.
freaking 6 hours late hahaha.
and sheng heng the get bullied i/c also came.
plus cindy chung yan and andrea who came at like 5plus,
(who brought nic tang's slippers
so yay rujun can walk liao!)
so yea went for dinner at nyny.
at the old shell place there (:
met up with weiguo the organising i/c over there.
yup so total 13 ppl haha.
more or less the clique liao la.
ya at nyny rujun only got like 50cents in his wallet.
so bo bian must do the giant yankee burger challenge
else got nothing else he can buy liao.
yea so that was the main highlight of the meal la.
eating, and watching rujun eat desperately.
and also got help him eat a bit la,
really very xin ku to see him struggle to eat.
if you know rujun its really quite hard
to imagine him struggling to finish food of ANY kind.

then yea as a result we were late for the concert.
and coincidentally we missed the first half.
and even more surprising was that
it was the high school's performance! D:
we really didn't know that we started dinner at 7.22pm.
when high school started at 7.30pm.
really. heehehehee. :D
anw yea rujun finally finished like an hour later.
i really don't know whether to be proud of him
or utterly disgusted of him la.
i mean, its like 50-50 la hahahah.
its so piggish, but yet i'm half in awe. D:
its really quite an achievement what.
yea anw we just managed to get back in time
after missing the first song
of the second half hahaha.
as usual, walked in through the front door,
and disturbed the entire right side
of the audi in the process hahaha.
audi was surprisingly full,
so we only managed to get seats at the back.
still. we managed a GO SEAN, and GO WEIGUO,
and a MR LENG WE LOVE YOU(R HAIR!)
and then our duty as seniors were done. (:
music was okay la i guess.
orient express sounded quite promising heh
from whatever i managed to hear la.
yea can't rmb much else
other than the guy emcee
who kept pronouncing xi shui chang liu wrongly
(shi shui chang liu... -.-)
even i know its wrong can.
aye worse still, its a flautist.
forgot his name till sean reminded me.
elliot, the half australian.
no wonder chinese worse than me la.
gimmicks was uhhh. okayyy la,
borderlining on mediocre i thought.
maybe it'd be nice for ppl watching first time la.
but having started the gimmicks when we were sec 4,
where the creative (and crappy)
juices of ernest (and sean)
made gimmicks like a total joke for 3 years,
this one was a bit drab i thought.
only new thing was the string bass spinning around.
so said weely la, i wasn't really paying much attention
at that point in time alrdy haha.
but then again, we never had a string bass,
so not our fault :D
yea then after concert ended
there was this period of silence.
like no one bothered
to ask for encore and stuff
initially quite funny la
we over there laughing like siao.
then the lights came on and we were like
what, really no encore?!
then as seniors as usual
we felt compelled to do our duty
and start something,
but by then it was too late liao.
thankfully they later told us
they never prepare encore piece la
else really v sad prepare liao no one call.
yup so ended really really quickly
then went down to RUA to meet the juniors.
sort of like a meet-the-people session.
ya realised that. i dunno.
our batch the ppl almost all came la.
total we had like 20+ ppl around for this concert can.
like more than 2/3 of our batch.
5/6 of flutes (all except yishan)
2/4 of clarinets (weely vanessa)
2/6 saxas (ernest junjie)
2/4 horns (sean rujun)
2/3 euphos (no kheexuan)
4/6 percs (no krystal and mel)
all trombones.
okay total 20ppl.
which isn't that bad really.
considering we've mostly been separated
for more than a year liao
i mean, collectively la, not the small cliques.
music really brings people together i guess.
yea then since so many of us were here.

the time spent slacking laughing playing together.

but its exactly what i do everytime.
just hurry up get over and done with it
and then go play and celebrate.
no idea what we're celebrating,
but just celebrate all the same.

for supper there.
then sort of celebrated sean's bday.
initially sean didn't want

but aiyah we just celebrated for him ANYWAY.
kinda lame and cheapo (and pathetic)
but its the thought that counts la right :D
yea then abt 12mn went home la.
must catch last bus la haha
no money for cab zzz.
sigh its 3.15am.
tmr got winter league in the afternoon.
back to back games some more.
need to reach there by 1pm.
how to wake up in time..
on the up side, looks like the league comm
heard my grumblings and whinings
and somehow yiding got transferred to my team.
so yay one more hwachong guy liao :D
