friday while on the way to training i saw this elderly couple get on the bus. k now my mentality is that when ppl grow older they go more soft and loving and stuff cause they have less to worry abt and more to care abt (since they're dying and stuff) but apparently this isn't true lor. like omg damn drama can the both of them totally just quarrel on the bus like hokkien beng la. the moment step onto the bus start quarrelling liao. and being the kaypoh singaporeans that we are the whole entire bus turned to look at them. literally just turned their heads and watch them like watching musical like that. even the bus driver stopped to watch can.
and i couldn't help but laugh really. i mean its so childish really. okay i wasn't laughing at that more of the totally singaporean part haha. its so typically singaporean can all the kaypoh kias. just stare and watch unabashedly. and yet the elderly couple still argued as if the whole bus was theirs. 4 stops later, the old man got off in a huff. entertainment over. oh well.
friday was end of ISC course. i guess its more of cause they can't fail me than they don't want to fail me, that's why i passed the course haha. okay sometimes i think i damn loser this kind of course also wanna slack. but then again, its national service. i don't really care. just pay me my money. (:
friday was training too. and then slacking at bugis macs with lincoln xmei zhiyang jingyi. cause no movie timings for how to train your dragon.
saturday was ivp at nyp. lost to smu which was T.T cause we started horribly. thankfully we ended well else the scoreline would be shameful walao.
then lagging around and dinner at amk sumo house. lup sup jap place. then bugis starbucks with the band ppl.
sunday was church with junjie cheryl ernest. cornerstone at my house there. then since ernest drove we went to bishan for lunch. above average chicken rice for average prices so yay (:
ten back to dhoby to meet frisbee ppl jingyi lincoln zhiyang xmei yiding. for how to train your dragon.
which was a nice show la haha. the storyline is quite predictable and cliche but surprisingly its still nice and had its awwwwww moments. and yea haha overall i think its a good movie yay go watch (:

i guess there's some good in every one. thankfully today turned out well enough (:
ytd while mugging for today's 4 tests i saw kids one floor below me, zooming by on this segway circuit happily driving their segways pass potted plants laughing wildly into the wind. and they sounded so happy. made me miss being a kid again.
on saturday while on the train to sengkang for ivp, i met this kid on wheels of a different sort. saw this small girl come out from the elevator, rushing to catch the train on the other platform that was just about to leave. she was small and alone, probably about 8plus or so, but strong enough to wheel her wheelchair deftly into the mrt in the nick of time as if it were the most natural thing on earth. her wheelchair nearly engulfed her small frame yet she bravely faces every day with a level of independence far exceeding those without her disability. and i grew so sad for her.
kids of the same age, yet with different worries, different abilities, different futures, different lives.
what must the girl have done in her previous life, to suffer the igonomy of being wheelchair-bound, unable to enjoy the basic joys of life.
life is unfair jiawei. ): because cider is the elixir of life

argh. why is the weekend coming to an end ):
although this weekend has been nua to say the least, i hate booking in more than usual. which says a lot really considering i'm booking in tmr morning instead of the usual tonight 2359.
this weekend didn't do much. saturday sixoh dinner sunday church and band. church of hope today with ernest and cheryl again. then chee cheong fan breakfast at killiney. then lunch half an hour later with 1x additional sean at taka basement. then met up with sheng heng and junjie at city hall then alice in wonderland-ed.
which wasn't particularly exciting or what. but at least its better than dear john D:
then met up with cheryl and weiguo again then dinner-ed at xin wang hongky cafe cause ernest is a peng you over there. then went to mrs field's at esplanade to sit and talk cock. and then go home. which is really nothing significant or like exciting and worth mentioning.
just that i really. really really hate booking in tmr. there's nothing particularly bad abt the course per se. its slack, its stay out, there're good course mates in there, and they serve muslim food (Y)(Y).
i guess its just a small part of everything. like the very strict timings they give (late one minute stay back one hour and i'm like wtf i live in paya lebar the first bus out of my house is 6am mrt to joo koon takes 47mins how to first parade at 7am in the morning?!)
ya and maybe the meaningless-ness of it all. i mean like, come on. i'm never gonna use those 3D maps they teach us like wth it probably isn't gonna be implemented until like 2011 or 2012 or sth by which i ORD LO.
or how to draw maps using the this program on the com which is like wtf cause none of the coms in my branch has anything that comes remotely close to that. so that's redundant too.
the only meaningful thing so far is this overlay drawing terror which they forced us to do standing up for 2 days. which is relevant cause i'll be doing it when the battalion goes out for exercise. which is like. once in my remaining ns life. right before i ORD in october during wallaby.
and in 2WO Chang JIS CSM i've got a wtf instructor cause he like dunno suddenly like to pick on me. just cause i was the first day i/c. then he said 7.20 must be ready and i was like okay 7.20 every one was there then he say cannot cause never properly fall in and report strenght and stuff and where's the waterpoint for live run?! and i'm like wtf no one told me anything?! and in the end i was late 6mins. and now he likes to pick on me for EVERYTHING. from my ankle socks (which 1001 ppl are wearing btw) all the way to the position i stand when i fall in. he say i stand too close to the front and i'm like wtf i'm not the right marker what. but of course i never say la i so humji. zzz.
ya its just lame la. the stuff we do have no relevance to my life now. its like AISL all over again. i'm being treated like a trainee for nothing. which is zzz.
omfg i'm feeling so crabby. i feel like posting so much mean stuff everywhere on ppl's fb. but. control jiawei. control.
i hate army atm. i can't wait to ord. i really really can't wait. 245 more days. because cider is the elixir of life

dear john,
girls should never think that they understand the army because they never will.
on a very serious note, if terrorists bombed the UOB building and a lot of ppl died i'd extend my service too since the country needs me. i know it sounds unbelievable. but i'm sure you would too. its just natural.
and this made me laugh like hell :D
Silly Names
Next time you sign your name spare a thought for Justin Case, Barb Dwyer and Anna Sasin.
The incredibly unfortunate names emerged in our study of the most bizarre names in Britain today. Other unlucky punters are also trying to lead normal lives despite being named Stan Still, Mary Christmas, Paige Turner, Chris Cross and Barry Cade. It might also be worth thanking your lucky stars you're not called Sonny Day, Rose Bush, Pearl Button or Hazel Nutt, who also make the list of 'The Most Unfortunate Names in Britain'.
TheBabyWebsite recently carried out the search of names registered with phone numbers and names posted on the world wide web.
When the parents of some of those people mentioned named their children, many probably didn’t even realise the implications at the time. However, we can’t help but smile when we imagine someone having to give their full name.
There must be tremendous embarrassment every time they have to introduce themselves to anyone, especially to a crowd. Even their teachers must have had to hold back their smiles sometimes.
On the positive side, anyone wanting to become well-known would have an added advantage… No-one would forget a name such as Justin Case, would they?
Parents really do need to think carefully though when choosing names for their children. Their name will be with them for life and what may be quirky and fun for a toddler might be regretted terribly when that person becomes older or even a grandparent perhaps.
Our month-long study scoured the world for real people who have their own unique crosses to bear.
TheBabyWebsite.com also uncovered some other crackers such as the brilliantly-named Tim Burr, a speed-freak named Max Power and a man called Doug Hole. Teresa Green, Terry Bull, Helen Back, Lee King, Jo King and Ray Gunn also cropped up on the list.
Wider afield America as you'd expect is a haven of weird and wonderful names including Anna Prentice, Annette Curtain, Bill Board and Carrie Oakey.
A string of people have brilliant names linked to their professions including Dr Leslie Doctor and Dr Thoulton Surgeon, a vet in Connecticut, Dr Payne, a plastic surgeon in Sandusky, Ohio, Les Plack, a dentist in San Francisco and Priti Manek, a doctor in Florida.
And one of the funniest, Dr Sumey in Fairmont is likely to invite more than his fair share of lawsuits from disgruntled patients.
